Tradition and innovation: unique in the world, for real.

The extraordinary nature of Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale lies in its exceptional ability to enhance tradition and drive innovation

The Villa D’Almè mill is home to the globally celebrated Linen Research and Development Centre, a seat of world excellence where not only new and strikingly beautiful yarns are designed, but also where cutting-edge textile machinery for both linen and hemp are developed to manufacture them.

Linimpianti. Unique technology for special products.

Linimpianti is the division of Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale that was created for the design, production and automation of textile machinery for the processing and spinning of hard fibres. It is with these spinning machines, patented and built within the company itself, that Linificio gives its yarns their essential “Italian character” with their remarkable fashion content that is always contemporary and “customizable”.

“Just an oenologist skillfully blends grapes from different vines to produce a unique wine, so the ability to know how to select the right raw materials and mix them perfectly is one of the secrets to produce unique yarns and is craftsmanship that is handed down from generation to generation.”
