Up until the middle of the 19th century, hemp was one of Italy’ principal crops. Its history has long been intertwined with that of the land around Bergamo where it was grown.
Bolstered by its history and the methods handed down through generations for the processing of hemp, in 2017 Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale reintroduced this fibre, focusing on its natural sustainability and wealth.

Versatile and durable, natural hemp can dress classic and modern settings adding unique character. Nm 6 hemp is available in dyed version with délavé dotted effect colors.
Boiled yarn.
Boiled yarn finds its ideal application in fabrics for upholstery and home furnishing, clothing and accessories (bags and wallets). It is available in Nm 10-14-24 counts.
Bleached yarn.
Thanks to their refined craftsmanship and technical properties, our bleached hemp yarns are ideal for high-end clothing, shirting, and accessories fabrics.
Nm 26, 39 and 52 counts will give you a wide choice of solid colors, délavé and mélange.
