Linificio is B CorpTM certified

Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale Srl after changing its statute in December 2021 to become  Benefit Company (SB) integrating in their corporate purpose, in addition to profit objectives, the aim of having a positive impact on society and the biosphere, in 2023 reaches another goal:  150 years after its foundation get the B CorpTM  certification. It recognizes that Linificio meets high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

Linificio thus achieves another challenging and craved goal in its path of sustainable development, confirming its attention to ESG criteria.

Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale S.r.l. Società Benefit is the first linen and hemp spinning mill to have obtained the B CorpTM certification, among the first companies in the textile segment, of which it represents absolute excellence.

The B CorpTM certification is issued by the international certifier B LabTM,the non-profit organization that promotes the change of economic systems, because it believes that a different type of economy that is more equitable, inclusive and regenerative is necessary. Businesses can lead this change.

  • spreading of awareness of the sustainability characteristics of flax and hemp fibres of organic origin, of the beneficial impact on the environment and of their cultivation and multiple uses beyond the textile sector, issues which Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale promotes with practical projects, such as the return of flax cultivation in Italy and its applications in composite materials;
  • projects to protect biodiversity and contributions to reduce CO₂ emissions.

This is not only a goal, but it is also a beginning, because we are constantly working to improve and be more and more protagonists of change.
