Linen, precious as the future
Awareness of tradition and a determined inclination to the future have always been part of the DNA of Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale, as indeed is a marked sense of responsibility towards the planet and future generations.
The company follows every day the principles of the circular economy, thanks to which the parts of linen and hemp that would have been lost during the manufacturing process and no longer usable in the production cycle are recovered and reused as secondary raw material in the manufacture of other products, not necessarily textiles.
In 2021 Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale became a Benefit Company.
The meticulous and rigorous approach of the company, which combines respect for tradition, commitment to environmental protection and creativity, and is also associated with an energetic drive for innovation, is now a public and official commitment.
Benefit Companies (SB) represent an evolution of the very concept of a company: they integrate in their corporate purpose, in addition to profit objectives, the aim of having a positive impact on society and the biosphere.
The careful and rigorous approach, that combines respect for tradition, commitment to protecting the environment and creativity, that is also associated with an energetic push for innovation, becomes a public and official commitment.
A real “social pact” made with the community, the territory and the natural ecosystem, in which collaboration with other, even highly different, realities becomes fundamental, sharing knowledge and experience, in order to give a better tomorrow to the generations to come.
Our firm starting point
Emphasize the ethical content of its production thanks to which it can offer the market natural, ecological and organic yarns;
Collaborate with farmers and weavers to create a sustainable supply chain model for people and the environment;
Foster a circular economy model also thanks to the use of technologies capable of giving new life to secondary materials and production waste;
Dialogue with the local community to promote a textile culture of flax and hemp and maintain it over time.
“Any organization that wants to generate results and have a competitive advantage in the medium term, must set its business strategy by “mixing” three variables, the so-called 3Ps: Profit, Planet and People.
The 3Ps, once anchored to the core of the company, will be able to generate the success of the organization both in the short and long term.”
