Lenzuolino - Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale

LenzuoLino is born; the capsule collection made with the purest and most sustainable linen yarn.

Soft, hypoallergenic, fresh, breathable, thermoregulatory, linen is the most ecological fibre 100% European. It requires the least amount of water and it is healthier than any other fibre when in contact with the skin: characteristics that are enhanced in ‘1873, the Ould Linen’, conceived by Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale for this limited series of bed and cot sheets.

A yarn born from a seed as pure as nature, treated solely with steam, planted and then cultivated without any chemicals whatsoever in enclosed selected fields in Normandy.

Unique of its kind, this yarn is fashioned with craftsmanship by reactivated drying racks that were used in the 19th century.

The tradition and craftsmanship of the 19th century are making a comeback, adapted and updated to give life to the best natural fabrics.

LenzuoLino is a special dedication to every child the world.

It is this age-old tradition that has inspired the LenzuoLino charity project, through which Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale wants to guarantee to the children in need the same protection and care as those who live in more fortunate families.

Together with partners Terre de Lin, the world’s major agricultural cooperative that cultivates linen fibre in Normandy, and Lanerossi, the historic Vicenza company of the Marzotto Group that has offered its e-commerce channel to the sale of LenzuoLino, Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale has chosen to support child-oriented charitable projects promoted by organisations highlighted by The Circle Italia, the respected non-profit association founded in England in 2008 by Annie Lennox.

A ‘circle’ of women who donate their time and skills to conceive, implement and promote fundraising and awareness campaigns, “a network of women who are committed to helping women who live in difficult cirmcumstances in the world.’

Cardiopathic Children in the World A.I.C.I. Onlus and Francesca Rava Foundation N.P.H. Italia Onlus have been identified by The Circle Italia Onlus as beneficiaries of the charity projects. Through the channels of these initiatives it is possible to make donations to receive LenzuoLino.

The funds raised support activities related to the protection of children, mothers and families in need or in conditions of maximum vulnerability, especially in the current health crisis. Particular focus is on Cardiopathic Children in the World’s Cuori in Emergenza, an initiative aimed at helping infant (and young) patients who come to Italy to be operated on and on Francesca Rava Foundation’s Covid 19 Maternity Project, which coordinates courses in protected motherhood for Covid-positive mothers.
