BLULINO sponsors Terra Madre 2008

The third edition of Terra Madre has been in Torino from 23 to 27 october 2008, concurrently with Salone del Gusto / Slow Food.
Terra Madre activated the Natural Fibres Workshop, since the 2009 will be the International Year of Natural Fibres (FAO): the goal of the project was to promote the natural fibres and put the basis for the building of a worldwide network of natural fibres. Worldwide suppliers (growers and breeders) were present in order to share experiences.
BLULINO, Cotonificio Albini, Ermenegildo Zegna, Gruppo Schneider has been the sponsors of the event.
BLULINO took part in Terra Madre inviting the communities of linen and other precious natural fibres to the event.

BLULINO Excellence Award

On june 23, 2008 at Saint-Pierre le Viger, in Normandy, Cotonificio Albini awarded a prize to Terre de Lin for the production of the best linen fibre in the world, the most homogeneous and fine.
Terre de Lin is the French agricultural cooperative, the world's leading producer of scutched linen.
Cotonificio Albini is one of the most important European companies specialized in the production of shirting fabrics.
It was a day dedicated to the quality linen: it was the period of the linen flowering.
Some journalists of Italian and French press still took part in the event, a BLULINO co-marketing initiative, coordinated by Linificio.
BLULINO Excellence Award was an event at Impatto Zero®: the carbon dioxide emissions was compensated with the creation of new forests in Costa Rica.
